a shout out for thoughts and ideas from the community
The annual Redbud Arts and Crafts Festival will celebrate forty years in 2013. That’s 40 years of creative fun––what an amazing achievement and honor for our foothill community! With this important milestone, we want to hear your ideas and suggestions for how to mark the 2013 Redbud Festival, so that it’s an enjoyable and memorable experience for all of us.
Everyone in the community, artists and patrons alike, is invited
to our “IdeaFest” gathering on Saturday,November 10, at 1 pm
at the Arts Center on North Fork Drive in Three Rivers.
Join us for “tea and crumpets” and conversation.
If you are not able to attend in person, and want to share your ideas and suggestions,
please take a few minutes and visit our online “Redbud Survey”.
I like the Redbud as it is, held on Mothers’ Day, a treat for area mothers to visit on their special day. Judy Smith has done a tremendous job organizing it.
A weird idea might be to have a “conversation with artists” onstage, where several artists of the past (dressed in costumes of their own creation) present monologues telling about their life and art. Thus, theater gets a bit more press.
